Redwood Lake proved a tough nut to crack this weekend, with most anglers struggling for bites in what turned out to be a very moody session. Overcast skies dominated the day, with occasional sunny spells teasing us before heavy showers rolled through – classic British fishing weather.
Despite the tricky conditions, a few managed to find feeding fish and make it count:
🥇 1st – Rob Wood: 76lb – A brilliant performance that blew the rest of the field out the water.
🥈 2nd – John Hopton: 39lb 2oz – A solid net and enough to comfortably take second place.
🥉 3rd – John Bussey: 29lb 13oz – Another consistent showing from Bussey to round off the top three.
Section Winners:
-
Acko – Did the business and took the section honours.
-
Jack Jones – Won his section by double default. Rumour has it he only beat the guy who blanked and someone who went for a sleep – Money is still money, eh!
-
Anders – Scraped a section win with just 13lb. Yes, 13lb… it was that kind of day. Apparently, all you needed to win a section was to not pack up before the all out.
