The lake itself offers an ideal depth of around 4-5 feet, making it particularly suited to open-water fishing. Anglers will also find select pegs with access to an island within pole range, providing a unique opportunity for those willing to explore. The margins typically range between 2-3 feet in depth, though some pegs may reach as shallow as 18 inches, adding a touch of variety for those looking to mix up their approach.
The Furlong

The Furlong at Forest Lane Fisheries, a distinctive, canal-style lake stretching the full length of a furlong. With a width of approximately 13 meters across, this long, narrow lake is ideal for match anglers who appreciate a focused and strategic fishing experience. Its design includes sloping near and far shelves that taper down to depths of around 6 feet, creating multiple fishing opportunities along its length.
The Oaklands

The Oaklands Lake at Forest Lane Fisheries, a favourite for anglers seeking a rich and varied fishing experience. Known for its vibrant fish population and dynamic structure, Oaklands offers an inviting setting for both relaxed fishing and the thrill of the catch.
The lake features a unique underwater landscape, with a sloping near shelf that gradually flattens to a depth of around 6 feet. Near the edges, depths range from 12 inches to 2 feet, providing a range of fishing opportunities and adding an element of exploration for those who enjoy testing different spots.
The Vale

The Arena

The Arena at Forest Lane Fisheries, a unique, donut-shaped lake exclusively available for match bookings. This distinctive lake is designed with a central island and offers an engaging experience for match anglers seeking consistent action and high catch rates. Known for its abundant carp population, The Arena is an ideal spot for anglers looking to enjoy plenty of bites throughout their session.
The Arena has a sloping near shelf and a far shelf leading towards the island in the centre, with depths reaching up to 6 feet. This layout allows for varied fishing strategies across the lake, making it adaptable to both seasonal changes and different angling styles.
Rules and Regulations
No floating baits
No bread
No cat or dog food
Barbless hooks only – size 12 maximum
No braid
One rod per angler
All fish must remain on-site – no fish to leave the complex
No litter – use bins provided
Fishing from designated platforms only
No photographing of fish
Anglers under 14 are not permitted on The Don
Keepnet limits:
65lb (50lb on The Don)
Over 65lb will be knocked back to 60lb
Over 80lb will result in disqualification of the net
All fish must be netted, regardless of size
Do not throw leftover bait into the lake or on the bank
Please use the yellow bait buckets provided
Leave nothing but footprints – take nothing but memories
Gardening (e.g., trimming vegetation) is allowed, but only above the waterline
Do not peg down nets
