Match 5 2024 – Forest Lane – Furlong

If the pervious week was wet and wild the weather couldn’t have been any different for match day 5 and the fantastic Forrest Lane Fisheries.

Furlong was the lake of choice of the complex with 23 representing the club with a big shout out to Jack once again seamlessly running the draw and match on the day.

Sun was blazing for the all in, Neil Devine with the most organised peg in the North East sat nicely in the corner and everyone else taking their spots up the 201meter stretch of water.

Fish cruising on the top lent it’s self to a bit of mugging, with Jack taking advantage mugging a couple on meat Dan Howes following suit mugging throughout the match.

With the weather as nice as it had been all year the fish came shallow, maggot, caster and pellet doing the trick for most of the anglers, whilst feeding margin lines for the final sprint.

As the match progressed fish started to pop up right along the lake with a few starting to pull away. Stu Sexton having a consistent match came into his margin for a late charge and finished strongly.

Well done to all framers and section winners. Wazza picking up a triple (yes triple, not tipple) default to take home some pocket money alongside Col, Pete the Meat and Mr Hull 2011 Rob.

Thanks again for the turn out and Hackworth tomorrow (16th June) it is.
