Match 4 2025 – Tollerton – Kingfisher & Coot

Written by

After a week of warm sunshine and ideal spring conditions, the weather decided to switch things up just in time for match day. A cold, overcast sky and a biting northerly wind greeted anglers at Tollerton Ponds—but despite the chill, the fishing held up well across both lakes, with everyone weighing in and plenty of good weights recorded.

🐟 Kingfisher Lake Results:
🥇 Mike Edwards took top honours with a fantastic 103lb 11oz, the only angler to break the ton – a cracking performance given the conditions.
🥈 Dan Howes wasn’t far behind, putting together a strong net for 98lb 07oz and securing second place.

Section Winners on Kingfisher:
🏅 Craig Jackson
🏅 Rob Urry
🏅 Jonny Richards

🐟 Coot Lake Results:
🥇 Callum Davies claimed the win with 86lb 2oz, edging out…
🥈 Quill, who was just behind with 85lb 10oz. That’s a 8oz difference – the kind of margin that’ll have Quill measuring his keepnet twice and blaming the one that got away!

Section Winners on Coot:
🏅 Daz Shanks
🏅 Neil Devine – yes, the real Neil Devine!

📍 Next Match:
We’re back in two weeks at Redwood Park – let’s hope for some warmer weather and even better fishing.

Well done to all who fished, and tight lines until next time!
