Match 12 2025 – Woodland Lakes – Mallard Swallow Dragonfly

Written by

A total of 18 anglers were spread across the three island lakes at Woodland Lakes, Thirsk – Dragonfly, Mallard, and Swallow. The weather was absolutely glorious, with sunshine all day and barely a breath of wind, making for perfect conditions. Fish were feeding well across all three lakes, and everyone caught steadily throughout the match.

Dragonfly Lake
🥇 1st – Rob Urry – 101lb 6oz
🥈 2nd – Jordan Hunt – 76lb 2oz

Mallard Lake
🥇 1st – Dan Howes – 103lb 3oz
🥈 2nd – Jonny Richards – 96lb 1oz

Swallow Lake
🥇 1st – Jack Jones – 97lb 12oz
🥈 2nd – Rob Wood – 74lb 15oz

With his impressive Mallard Lake weight, Dan Howes took the overall win, ending Rob Wood’s four-match winning streak.

A word for Rob “Middy” Urry, who would likely have taken the overall win had it not been for a couple of lively fish making an escape from his keepnet – a tough break on an otherwise top performance!
