Match 11 2026 – Tollerton Ponds – Kingfisher & Coot

Round 11 of the Summer League saw 22 anglers make the trip to Tollerton Ponds, with the field split between Kingfisher Lake (13 anglers) and Coot Lake (9 anglers). The weather couldn’t have been much better, with plenty of sunshine and very little breeze throughout the day, although the fish clearly hadn’t read the forecast!

Despite the ideal conditions, bites proved difficult to come by on both lakes, making every fish count. Those who managed to keep a steady run of fish coming certainly earned their weights.

Kingfisher Lake

Taking top spot on Kingfisher was Ian Hutchinson from Peg 3, finishing with an excellent 146lb 2oz. Ian’s day wasn’t without drama either, as he spent a couple of spells trying to remove a tree after finding it with his rig more than once! Thankfully for him, the fish came out more often than the branches did.

Second place went to Rob Urry, fishing peg 6, who put together a solid 133lb 13oz to secure the runner-up position.

Kingfisher Section Winners

  • Daz Shanks somehow managed to blag himself a default section win, which explains why he was still enjoying himself in the café long after the all-out instead of performing his usual wheelspin exit from the car park. Unfortunately for Daz, while the section prize was nice, he ended up paying out on quite a few £1 bets!
  • Sys took his section from Peg 1.
  • Jonny claimed his section from Peg 4.

Coot Lake

Over on Coot Lake, proving once again that corner pegs can produce the goods, Jack “Corner Peg” Jones made the most of Peg 10 to take the lake win with 132lb 10oz.

Runner-up honours went to “Big” Col Dickenson, who fished Peg 5 for a respectable 108lb 3oz.

Coot Section Winners

  • Acko secured his section by double default, bringing an end to Neil’s impressive run of section wins.
  • Mike Edwards claimed the remaining section.

Congratulations to everyone who picked up a prize and well done to all who stuck it out through what proved to be a tougher day’s fishing than many expected.

The next round takes us to Brafferton – Spring Lake on Sunday 16th August. With the match limited to 20 anglers, make sure you get your name down early to avoid missing out.
