Match 10 2026 – Forest Lane – Oaklands & Furlong

Round 10 of the Summer League saw 25 anglers head to Forest Lane Fishery, split across the Furlong and Oaklands lakes. Conditions looked ideal from the start, and once the cloud cleared the anglers were treated to a proper summer’s day with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures.

Going into the all-in, most expected Oaklands to produce the bigger weights, and that’s exactly how it turned out. The lake fished well, with several anglers enjoying hectic spells and some impressive catches.

Oaklands Lake

Making the most of one of the fancied pegs, Rob Urry put together a superb net of 207lb 2oz from Peg 2 to take a convincing victory. Second place went to Barry Simpson from Peg 17, who also enjoyed an excellent day’s fishing.

• Daz Shanks – Peg 19 (amazingly, he actually hung around for the results instead of performing his usual wheelspin getaway at the all-out!)
• Ian Gladders – Peg 15

Furlong Lake

Furlong proved to be the tougher of the two lakes, although there were still some respectable catches to be had. Callum Davies took top honours from Peg 24 with a winning weight of 105lb 9oz, while Col Dickenson, fishing the peg next door on Peg 22, claimed second place with 88lb 11oz.
