The first match of the summer league kicked off in classic British fashion – a foggy start that had everyone wondering if summer had got lost on the way. But as if on cue, the sun made a grand entrance, clearly aware that the summer league was underway!
A total of 27 anglers took to Heron Lake at Tollerton Ponds, and with everyone catching fish, the weights were impressive for this time of year.
Results:
🥇 1st – Col Dickenson – 100lb 14oz
The only angler to hit a ton, Col dominated the field with a cracking weight. A well-earned victory!
🥈 2nd – Rob Urry – 77lb 4oz
A solid effort from Rob, falling just short of the century mark but still securing a comfortable second place.
🥉 3rd – Rob Wood – 63lb 1oz
A great performance from Rob, rounding off the podium spots with another respectable weight.
🎣 4th – Brett Rowson – 59lb 2oz
A close battle for the top spots, but Brett’s bag was enough to claim fourth place.

Upcoming Matches:
Next weekend sees the final round of the Winter League, and then it’s back to summer league action with Round 2 on April 6th at Woodlands. Mark your calendars!
Special Mention:
Daz Shanks takes home the award for fastest exit after a match! Rumour has it, he packed up, loaded the van, and was halfway home before the weigh-in was even done. Maybe he’s training for a new sport – competitive pack-away?
Great effort from everyone, and we’ll see you at the next match!
