Match 6 2025 – Tollerton Ponds – Kingfisher & Coot

Written by

A sell-out match at Tollerton Ponds saw anglers spread across Kingfisher and Coot Lakes – and while the calendar said June, the weather felt more like March 8th, with a cold wind and heavy rain showers making things tough for everyone on the bank.

Despite the grim conditions, plenty of fish were caught on both lakes, with Kingfisher proving to be the top performer on the day – producing the bigger weights and some great individual battles.

🥇 Kingfisher Lake Results

  • 1st – Gaz Wood – top caster blaster on the day with a quality net

  • 2nd – Craig Jackson – pushed all the way, another strong performance

  • 3rd – Ste Syson – consistent as ever, into the frame.

🎯 Kingfisher Section Winners:

  • Cal – Won his section by default… default… default! (We think that’s the angling equivalent of a hat-trick!)

  • Barry Simpson – another solid shift from the ever-reliable Baz

  • Alan Gladders – quietly got the job done with a tidy net and no fuss

🐟 Coot Lake Results

  • 1st – Jack Jones – made it look easy with a convincing win

  • 2nd – Rob Urry – not far behind… though we’re still waiting on a steward’s inquiry after he clicked the same fish three times! 😄

🎯 Coot Lake Section Winners:

  • Daz Shanks

  • Mike Edwards

  • Neil Vickery

Great efforts all round on a day when the weather could have easily dampened spirits – but as always, the banter and competition kept things lively.

📅 Next Match – June 22nd @ Don Lake, Forest Lane
