Now before anyone moans, yes I missed this week’s match. While you lot were sat in hoodies staring blankly at the water, I was suffering in 33-degree heat with golden sand between my toes and crystal-clear water lapping around my ankles. Terrible place, wouldn’t recommend it… honest.
Back to the fishing – the match was split across Cyprio and Front Lakes, with 12 on Cyprio and 5 on the Front. Hopes were high for some big weights, but as often seems the case when expectations rise, the fish had other ideas. It turned out to be a tricky match for many.
That said, a few still managed to make it look easy:
-
1st – Rob Wood: back on winning form with 112lb 5oz
-
2nd – Rob Urry: a solid 96lb 13oz
-
3rd – Jack Jones: battling into the frame with 53lb 13oz
Section winners: Gaz, Alan Gladders, Jordan Hunt, and Jonny.
Well done to all who framed and battled through a tougher day’s fishing than expected.
Next match is at The Vale, Forest Lane, on Sunday 21st September. Get your names to Jack as usual.
