The unbelievable Vale lake at Forrest Lane was next up for the TVAA lads and lasses with 24 out 26 pegs taken it was another quality showing for all.
Was a bright and early start with the Euro final played the same day the match started and fished a little earlier than usual but as expected didn’t effect the fishing or weights.
Rolling draw from the cafe gave everyone their chance to draw the flyer. Walking round looked like Peg 1 was fizzing from the off and Phill Larry pulled that out the bag, Cal pays rent on Peg 22 so off he went over there and Peg 14 wasn’t good enough for Jack Jones, change the record that.
With everyone seemingly targeting the same line it was a quick set up, shallow, up the slope and margin rigs for all. Aloud some time for a walk round and spy everyone’s side tray. Jack Jones with more meat than Kaite Price could handle sat waiting. Caster, meat and pellet for everyone else was order of the day.
Pete Agar trying to sneak a few LB on the scales with a empty hook gave everyone the indication fish where there to be caught. All in was called and it was go. From the off fish came out, one after another. Queuing up, Andy Ryan after few early carp got into the Barbel, fishing was good, even Joe was catching, according to Jonny The Fridge.
Even on a wet cold ‘summer’ day the fishing was immense start to finish with a few 1000lb of fish coming out of the lake across the match, that speaks volumes of the venue.
Just copy and paste this now it happens everyweek. Jack Jones breaking club record weight and winning his 5th on the bounce. Few lads also breaking their PBs to take home the personal plaudits.
Thanks to those who helped out weighting in, it is appreciated by every member on the day.
If winning the Euros was like fishing Heron, Southgate would be the King by now!!
