It was an overcast and wet start for the 20 anglers who turned out at Woodland Lakes in Thirsk, but just before the all-in whistle the clouds cleared, and we were treated to sunshine for the rest of the day – not bad at all for the end of September!
Fishing proved tricky for many, with bites hard to come by across both lakes. The odd fish kept nets ticking over, but a few managed to find better sport and put together some impressive weights.
