Match 15 2026 – Woodlands – Partridge

With the familiar background sound of bite alarms going off, it could only mean one thing… we’re back at Woodland Lakes! This time, 18 anglers headed onto Partridge Lake for another club match.

The weather was sunny and breezy, making for a pleasant day on the bank, although the fishing itself was a bit of a mixed bag. Some anglers struggled to get things going, while others found plenty of fish and put together some seriously big weights.

🏆 Match Results

Taking the win was Jonny Richards, who put together a fantastic 142lb 10oz from peg 34.

Just next door on peg 36, Acko wasn’t far behind, weighing in an impressive 134lb 11oz for second place.

Third place went to Mike Edwards, with another huge weight of 124lb 10oz from peg 2.

📊 League Update

Things have tightened up nicely at the top of the league!

Ian Hutchinson managed to score one more point than Jack Jones today, bringing the pair back level on points at the top of the league. Ian takes the number one spot on overall weight.

Jonny Richards and Gaz Wood both picked up 4 points today, keeping themselves firmly in the fight in the top four.

With the top four separated by only a handful of points, there is still plenty to play for as we head towards the business end of the season.

Next weekend sees us heading to Forest Lane, where we have the use of Don Lake and Arena Lake, provided we can get the numbers to fill both lakes.

Another couple of big matches could make things very interesting at the top of the league! 🎣
